| JamesList Newsletter - April 30, 2009 |
It's been an interesting week, we've seen an increase in people looking at private jets on JamesList, maybe a swine flu effect? With agressive pricing and a warm European spring, a surprisingly large number of good sized yachts are changing hands, though our number of yacht listings is growing steadily, so there are plenty of deals out there. Any reference to the markets having hit bottom should be taken with a truck-sized pinch of salt, but we haven't seen this much interest in Ferraris since we launched earlier ths year.
At JamesList, we pride ourselves with being able to present a large number of prestigious items available on the current market. With 40% of the world's Lamborghini Reventóns listed on JamesList, there is a reasonable case to be made for calling it a buyers market. Or perhaps the S/Y Royono, favourite yacht of President John F. Kennedy where even Marilyn Monroe is said to have spent some time in the salt-tinged sun.
In the spirit of smartness, we've made it easier than ever to find great currency plays. Each listing now shows the best currency to buy the item in, based on the change against the base currency when the item was listed. Its a bit complicated, just take a look, buying this 360 Modena today is more than 8 000 Euros cheaper than it was in October when the car was listed for sale in Swedish Kroner. Feel free to let us know if there are other smart ways of helping you find great deals out there.
Wishing you a wonderful week-end,
James |

They peddle the same message year out and year in, that they are the best, everyone else is lying and trying to get at them. Take North Korea for example. There’s actually nothing humorous about the situation in… Read More » |
Breitling Beefs Up the Chronomat
“The Breitling Chronomat, one of the world’s most classic men’s sports watches, has gotten beefed up in the form of the Swiss watchmaker’s new Chronomat B01 model. The first Chronomat to feature a Breitling-made (in-house) movement, it’s designed with a new longer profile for a better fit on the wrist. Chronometer-certified by the COSC (Contrôle… Read More » |
Santa Claus?
“The Robinson R44 is the helicopter version of a Toyota Prius. Not cheap but not expensive either. Seats the family but hardly anything else. Not particularly fast but it will get you there. Not stylish but not completely embarrassing either. Are you starting to get the drift here? I don’t care the least for the… Read More » |
