Prices going up...on a Thursday

Hi there,

Yes — our subscription prices are going up on December 26th. But first...

The below offers a lesson on punditry and making good predictions.

Just make them so uselessly generic that you can't be wrong.

This reminds me of those folks who've been calling a tech bubble since 2012. One day they will be right, right?

Another win

Daniel Graf, Uber's Head of Product, will be joining us next week at the A-ha! Conference.

Daniel runs all aspects of the product experience for drivers and riders. You might remember his name from his days as VP of product at Twitter and from Google, where he was responsible for Google Maps and Google Local.

I’m excited to hear where he sees Uber's product going.

IPO show

Our 6th-annual Tech IPO Pipeline Report looks at 355 of the most promising, highly-valued private companies in the US.

California has received the lion’s share of aggregate funding for Tech IPO Pipeline companies, with $56B. New York-based pipeline companies have raised over 4X the amount of total funding as pipeline companies in Massachusetts.

Smart people doing smart things

If you've ever been curious how clients use us, it's pretty varied TBH.

Citi uses CB Insights as their CRM for Innovation to support startup discovery...IBM uses us to map the AI landscape...GE uses us to stay on top of IoT trends...Barrick Gold is using CBI to identify exponential technologies that promote responsible mining.

Sweet 16

We have 16 judges joining us for our first-ever Demo Day at the A-Ha Conference. They'll be asking hard questions of presenting founders and determining the best startups on each stage. Check 'em out

The hike

If you're going to subscribe to the CBI platform, do it soon. Else, this may happen.

In 2018, we're adding a slew of new capabilities to CB Insights:
  • The ability to search and analyze earnings transcripts
  • Public company data (prices, fundamentals ratios)
  • Market sizings
For our biggest clients, we're also doing in-person executive briefings and new Chief-of-Staff email briefings that leverage our technology and analysts to keep execs on the pulse of market and competitive intelligence (and freeing up their teams from doing this work completely manually).

And there's even more you can expect when we're ready to reveal.

Of course, with all the amazing stuff our engineering team is developing, it does mean that CB Insights pricing is going up bigly.
