Help Students With a Professional Practice Experience
All students attending CAHIIM accredited HIT/HIM/HIA programs in the State of Missouri are required to complete clinical hours. The MOHIMA Board is reaching out to our members to see if anyone would be interested in hosting a student during their Professional Practice Experience (PPE). By submitting your name, you are not committing yourself or your facility to hosting a student. You are simply submitting your information as a potential clinical site.
There are many variables to the PPE assignment, and we know there are processes and policies that facilities must adhere to. Therefore, your information will be shared with the Program Directors/ students, and both sides can communicate as to whether the facility can provide the training/shadowing the student needs.
Click the button below for more details and to submit your information. We understand that circumstances can change. In the event that you are no longer able to or are interested in hosting students for a PPE, please submit an update through the Contact Us form.

ACTION ALERT: Ask Your Members of Congress to Cosponsor the LINC to Address Social Needs Act
AHIMA needs your help to raise support for the LINC to Address Social Needs Act! Take part by visiting the AHIMA Action Center now to urge your members of Congress to cosponsor the bill and foster improved linkages between clinical health and social services.
Improving Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) is an AHIMA advocacy priority, which includes supporting the use of SDOH data to enhance care coordination across sectors. The LINC to Address Social Needs Act would assist states in establishing or enhancing community integration network infrastructure for clinical health and social services, while at the same time giving states the flexibility needed to design networks unique to their needs.
AHIMA needs your help to reach out to your members of Congress to urge them to cosponsor the LINC to Address Social Needs Act.
