Vision and Values engagement and commission for Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN

In October, I had the amazing opportunity to work with Mayo Clinic Program in Professionalism and Values and the Dolores Jean Lavins Center for Humanities in Medicine on a celebration event for people on-site at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN and folks who work remotely. Entitled “Vision and Values,” I facilitated staff’s engagement and artmaking, along with amazing volunteers. Vision and Values was designed to bring staff together to contribute to two enduring artworks that illustrate how the arts relate to the primary and core values of Mayo Clinic.

In response to those co-created works, I have been commissioned to create two artworks for the Mayo Clinic permanent collection.
Remembering Dr Harold Adams

My dearest friend Dr. Harold Robinson Adams, who passed away in 2018, was an inspiration in many ways. Harold’s passion for art lead to a generous gift to the to the University of Minnesota's Department of Art. You can read more about his legacy here. I am proud to have loved Harold since our days at Hamline University!
Save the date!

I have a new exhibit opening at the Rochester Art Center. The exhibition, "Anne Labovitz: The Nexus of Well Being and Art", will run from February 18th through July 30, 2023.
Working with several international health organizations and local communities, the work will include all new pieces–paintings, sculpture and installation as well as a monumental sculpture in the Rochester Art Center Atrium space. I will also be facilitating workshops and public engagement. Special thanks to our amazing sponsor Nuss Trucking and maurices!

Heartfelt thank you for receiving my news, I’m grateful for you.
